Overview
We are seeking a highly organised and proactive Personal Assistant to provide comprehensive administrative support to a best selling crime author and local business owner, Jack Cartwright.
We are looking for a PA to manage to his day to day affairs and marketing requirements, in addition to working with him on his other businesses of which, aside from general admin, marketing will play a significant role.
The ideal candidate will possess excellent communication skills, be adept at managing multiple tasks efficiently, and demonstrate proficiency with various office software. The ideal candidate will a full grasp of the various social media channels, be an experienced marketer, and an excellent communicator. He is looking for positive energy, confidence, and a desire to succeed.

The successful candidate will play a significant role in his family life. The ideal candidate will be comfortable working at his home, with his wife, children, and dog.
The role will encompass managing the owner's personal life, including managing cleaners, gardeners, and home services, as well playing a key role in three of his businesses.
Responsibilities
- Manage calendars, schedule appointments, and organise meetings with precision.
- Handle correspondence, including emails and phone calls, maintaining professional etiquette at all times.
- Prepare and edit documents, and reports using Microsoft Office 365.
- Basic video and photo editing within Adobe Creative Suite (not necessary, but nive to have).
- Assist with the development and actioning of marketing plans, involving ChatGPT, CRM, and Social Media platforms.
- Maintain digital filing systems and ensure all records are up-to-date and easily accessible.
- Maintain inventory of stock items, reordering supplies where necessary.
- Liaise effectively with clients, vendors, and internal teams to facilitate smooth operations across the group of companies.
- Administrate Quickbooks, data entry and posting invoices.
- Manage the house operations on a day to day basis.
Requirements
- Proven administrative or clerical experience in an informal family run business setting.
- You will be representing a best selling crime author, therefore English skills, both written and oral must be flawless.
- Strong organisational skills with the ability to prioritise tasks effectively.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office 365 (Word, Excel, SharePoint, & Outlook).
- Basic Adobe Photoshop and Premier skills would be an advantage.
- Excellent data entry skills with a high level of accuracy and attention to detail.
- Good phone etiquette and professional communication skills.
- Ability to work independently with minimal supervision while maintaining a proactive approach.
- Competent typing skills for efficient document preparation and correspondence management.
- This position is ideal for an individual who thrives in a fast-paced environment and is committed to delivering exceptional organisational support.
- Keen and proficient user of social media, maintaining an up to date feel for current trends and practises.
- Proven experience with Google Ads and SEO would be greatly beneficial.
- An interest in crime fiction would help, but is not a necessity.
- Driving license and own vehicle.
