Apprentice Engineering Technician – Highways & Drainage
We are looking for an Engineering Technician to join our Highways and Drainage Team and work on real projects that help shape local roads, drainage systems, and infrastructure. This is an excellent opportunity for someone leaving school or starting their career who is interested in engineering and wants to develop practical skills in a supportive and professional working environment.
This role will be offered as an apprenticeship, giving you the opportunity to work while studying towards a recognised qualification in Civil Engineering, typically one day per week with a local training provider. The role is mainly office-based and will involve helping to prepare technical drawings, reports, and general project support. You will work closely with our experienced technical team, who will support you as you learn and develop your skills.
You will also assist with gathering important site information at the early stages of projects, such as flood mapping and drainage constraints, helping us understand what engineering solutions are possible and how developments can be designed safely and effectively.
On successful completion of the apprenticeship, there will be opportunities to progress within the company and continue developing your engineering career.

- Interpret drawings and assist with basic calculations.

- Develop project management skills to support project delivery and deadlines.
- Follow company quality procedures and health & safety standards.
