Powered by GlobeNewswire, one of the largest and most trusted newswire distribution networks for over 30 years, we empower communicators to inform a better world. </p><p></p><p>Notified is an affiliate of <a href="https://equiniti.com/us/" target="_blank">Equiniti Group Limited (EQ)</a>, a fintech that connects the future of capital, communications, and governance — building trust and confidence in every market we serve.</p><p></p><p><b>Summary</b></p><p>Responsible for leading the creation, design, development and implementation of innovative database and or backend solutions for assigned area of responsibility; coordinate with other internal departments to ensure customer requests integrate and deploy as scheduled; ensure the quick implementation of mass data change requests and complex report/data extraction requests making sure the impact on existing applications is adequately analyzed and evaluated; lead the design and development of test codes for data conversions.</p><p></p><p><b>Location</b></p><p>This role will be based in our Woburn, MA office, located at 130 New Boston Street and offers in-person collaboration and flexibility to work from home.</p><p></p><p><b>What Part You Will Play in Our Growth </b></p><p></p><p><b>Database Developing Functions</b> - Leading the creation, design, development and implementation of innovative database or backend solutions for assigned area of responsibility in accordance to departmental and Company guidelines and timeframes</p><ul><li>Coordinate with other internal departments to ensure customer requests integrate and deploy as scheduled</li><li>Ensure the quick implementation of mass data change requests and complex report/data extraction requests making sure the impact on existing applications is adequately analysed and evaluated</li><li>Lead the design and development of test codes for data conversions</li><li>Enter codes to create development database, reviewing application design specifications and database access methods to prevent inefficient coding techniques</li><li>Resolve application support tickets escalated to employee's level ensuring appropriate resolution of issues in a timely manner</li><li>Write and assist departmental staff with technical system programs to provide specialized database access</li></ul><p></p><p><b>Data Support</b> - Ensure data is protected according to departmental policies and procedures and is retrievable in a timely manner, auditing back up rotation to ensure adherence to established standards</p><ul><li>Establish periodic schedules to test validity of backups and ability to perform restores</li><li>Establish query standards for accessing databases of different sizes, selecting and upgrading recommended attributes</li><li>Provide tuning and performance of the database environment by monitoring optimum values for database parameters</li><li>Develop scripts, documentation, and procedures for database administration, testing, and production</li></ul><p></p><p><b>Problem Resolution</b> - Proactively oversee the activities involved in quality resolution of problems related to area of responsibility</p><ul><li>Respond with a sense of urgency to problems escalated to employee's level</li><li>Escalate to supervisor any situation outside the employee's control that could adversely impact the services being provided</li><li>Provide analysis and feedback to management staff and appropriate departments regarding recurring problems, recommending improvements aimed at reducing future occurrences of problems</li><li>Participate in creating, administering, and continuously updating procedures for resolution of all related issues</li></ul><p></p><p><b>Required Knowledge and Skills</b></p><ul><li><b>Education</b><ul><li>Bachelor's degree with major course work in computer science, MIS, or a related field is required.
