Full job description

Overview
We are seeking a dedicated and hardworking Assembler / Yard Worker to join our garden machinery / paving supply company Crytec Power / Spire Stone Mill. In this role, you will be responsible for maintaining the yard and ensuring that all materials get loaded onto the delivery vehicles. The ideal candidate will possess a strong work ethic, attention to detail, and the ability to perform physical tasks efficiently. Occasionally doing delivery drops with our works van.

Responsibilities

Operate forklifts and other machinery safely to move materials around the yard.
Manage inventory using a warehouse management system to track stock levels.
Conduct regular inspections of equipment.
Handle materials with care, ensuring proper loading and unloading procedures are followed.
Assist in shipping and receiving processes, verifying quantities and condition of incoming and outgoing goods.
Maintain a clean and organised work environment, adhering to health and safety regulations.
Perform heavy lifting as required, ensuring proper techniques are used to prevent injury.

Skills

Proficiency in operating forklifts is essential; certification is preferred.
Familiarity with warehouse management systems for efficient inventory tracking.
Experience in materials handling, including loading and unloading of goods.
Basic maths skills for accurate counting and measurement of materials.
Ability to perform heavy lifting safely, with a focus on physical fitness.
Previous experience in a warehouse environment is advantageous.
Computer literate essential to print labels etc

Join our company as a light garden machinery assembler / Yard Worker and contribute to the efficient operation of our facility while developing your skills in a supportive environment.

This role will involve working alone on the yard at times, we are looking for someone to do 5 days a week, split across our 2 sites both located in and around Chesterfield
