Job Overview
We are seeking a compassionate and dedicated Registered Nurse to join our Hebburn Day Care Centre to work with Adults with Learning Disabilities. As a Registered Nurse, you will play a vital role in providing high-quality patient care, ensuring the well-being of patients, and supporting their recovery process. You will work collaboratively with a multidisciplinary team to deliver comprehensive nursing services in a variety of healthcare settings.

Duties

Assess and monitor patients’ health status, including vital signs and medical history.
Develop and implement individualised care plans based on patient needs and preferences.
Administer medications and treatments as prescribed by physicians.
Educate patients and their families about health conditions, treatment plans, and preventive care.
Collaborate with healthcare professionals to ensure coordinated patient care.
Maintain accurate patient records and documentation in compliance with legal and ethical standards.
Provide emotional support to patients and their families during challenging times.
Participate in continuous professional development to enhance nursing skills and knowledge.

Experience

PREFFERED SKILLS

Clinical skills

Health promotion and maintenance

Administering medication

Clear and concise verbal skills with legible written skills

Able to work independently and follow instructions

Able to cope with change, flexible and adaptable

Able to be objective and non-discriminatory

Able to work to deadlines in a pressurised environment

Able to learn and apply new skills and experiences

Possess a positive attitude and commitment to service users and their development

Current, clean, full car driving licence (preferred but not essential)

A good positive role model for service users and colleagues

DBS clearance
Excellent communication skills, with the ability to build rapport with patients and their families.
Proven ability to work effectively under pressure in a fast-paced environment while maintaining attention to detail.
A genuine passion for patient care and commitment to improving health outcomes for individuals in your care.
