About Us

El Rey Leather is a fast-growing, premium e-commerce brand specializing in handmade leather goods and everyday carry (EDC) essentials, including minimalist wallets and cardholders. We pride ourselves on craftsmanship, quality materials, and distinct design. As we scale our online presence, we are looking for a hands-on, creative Marketing Assistant to join our tight-knit team and help drive our next phase of growth.

Job Overview

We are looking for an energetic marketer who understands the e-commerce landscape and knows how to build a brand voice online. Working closely with the founder, you will take ownership of day-to-day marketing operations, content creation, social media management, and digital campaigns across platforms like Shopify, Instagram, TikTok, and Etsy.

Responsibilities

Social Media Management: Plan, create, and schedule engaging daily content across Instagram and TikTok to showcase our products and craftsmanship.
Content Creation: Assist with product photography, short-form video creation (Reels/TikTok), and copywriting for product launches.
Email & SMS Marketing: Design and execute regular email newsletters, promotional campaigns, and customer retention flows.
Paid & Organic Growth: Support basic SEO for our Shopify store and assist with managing performance marketing campaigns.
Influencer & PR Coordination: Help coordinate gifting campaigns and outreach to relevant creators and lifestyle influencers.
Analytics & Reporting: Track key performance metrics (traffic, conversion rates, engagement) and report on what is driving growth.

We’re looking for someone with…

Proven experience in a digital marketing, social media, or e-commerce role (portfolio of past work or managed channels is a huge plus).
Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously.
Strong copywriting skills with a keen eye for visual aesthetics and brand consistency.
Familiarity with major social platforms, content creation tools (Canva, CapCut, etc.), and e-commerce ecosystems (Shopify/Etsy).
Self-motivated, organized, and excited to work in a hands-on startup environment.
A passion for small business growth, premium goods, or the everyday carry (EDC) space is a distinct advantage.
Effective time management skills to prioritize tasks efficiently.
