Main duties, tasks & skills required
As a Clinical Associate Psychologist, you will:
Conduct specialised psychological assessments, structured interviews and observations with adults experiencing complex mental health difficulties.
Contribute to the development of personalised psychological formulations and care plans.
Deliver structured, evidence-based psychological interventions to individuals and groups.
Support people with complex and long-term mental health needs, helping them build resilience, independence and recovery-focused goals.
Work closely with psychologists, psychiatrists, nurses, social workers and other professionals within a multidisciplinary team.
Communicate sensitively and effectively with service users, families, carers and partner agencies.
Assess and manage clinical risk, seeking guidance and supervision where appropriate.
