We are hiring for a Junior Technician to join our team, based at our UKAS accredited Laboratory located in the heart of Denbigh. This is an excellent development opportunity for the right candidate to join a growing organization, with an established client base across the UK and overseas.
The Role
Working as part of our operations team, the Junior Technician will learn how to perform a wide range tests using domestic appliances to emulate the home environment. This includes recording and reporting test outcomes. Taking a scientific approach to the cooking and preparation of a wide variety of food products. The ability to keep accurate records and follow accredited processes is key. Full structured training will be provided!
Skills/Experience
· A Level (or equivalent qualification) in a science related subject - essential.
· Good organizational and time management skills – essential.
· English, Maths and Science Grade C or above at GCSE -essential.
· A Science based degree or specifically food science or technology would be an advantage.
· Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
· Attention to detail. Good communication skills both written and verbal English.
· Confident using spreadsheets and word processing software. Willingness to learn new software.
