About Outside-In Cumbria
Outside‑In Cumbria is a charity dedicated to opening and running a welcoming, inclusive, not‑for‑profit play centre for children and families in Cumbria. We believe in accessible play, strong community connections, and creating a safe, joyful environment where families can thrive.
The Role
We are seeking an organised and creative Business & Marketing Coordinator to manage the business, marketing and administrative functions of Outside‑In Cumbria. This role plays a vital part in supporting income generation, bookings, funding and compliance, helping ensure the play centre operates sustainably and efficiently.
Working closely with the trustees and the Operational Coordinator, you will help keep Outside‑In visible in the community, financially resilient and well‑organised behind the scenes.
Hours of Work
12 hours per week. Fixed hours are Friday 9.00am – 1.00pm. The remaining 8 hours are working flexibly between 9.00am and 3.00pm, Monday to Friday. Hours can be spread across the week and agreed in advance. Some flexibility is required to support occasional meetings or events.
Key Responsibilities
- Manage and update the Outside‑In website and digital platforms
- Plan and deliver marketing and promotional activity across digital and print channels
- Create and coordinate content including graphics, posters and short‑form video
- Administer bookings, parties and group sessions
- Raise invoices, track payments and provide income summaries
- Maintain records including DBS, contracts and training
- Support funding and grant applications and monitoring
- Work with partner organisations to support joint promotion and outreach
About You:
You will be:
- Organised, reliable and comfortable managing systems and admin
- Confident creating clear, friendly marketing and communications
- Able to work independently and prioritise effectively
- Interested in supporting a community‑focused charity
- Confident using digital platforms and basic reporting tools
Experience in charities, community organisations, marketing or administration is desirable but not essential.
