Job Title: Stylist (Hair Extension Specialist)
Salary: circa £27,000 to £30,000 plus uncapped commission of OTE £5,000 per year.
Hours: Full-time, working 5 days per week across Monday–Saturday, with every other Saturday off.

Role Overview
As a Salon Stylist at Additional Lengths, you’ll play a key role in transforming confidence through premium hair enhancement services. Working with Additional Lengths and Remi Cachet products, you’ll deliver exceptional consultations, fittings, and aftercare experiences while creating beautiful, confidence-boosting transformations for every client.
As well as fitting hair extensions, this role is about building relationships, educating clients on the benefits and diversity of methods, and recommending the perfect products and aftercare to help them look and feel their best every day.
Some of the main responsibilities of this role include:
- Delivering outstanding client consultations and fittings using Additional Lengths and Remi Cachet products, ensuring every client receives a tailored transformation experience.
- Understanding each client’s hair goals and recommending the most suitable extension or hair replacement methods to achieve their desired look and lifestyle.
- Educating clients on the confidence, versatility, and benefits that hair extensions and hair transformations can provide.
- Applying, maintaining, and removing a variety of professional hair extension and hair replacement systems with care and precision.
- Providing expert aftercare advice and recommending the perfect salon and retail products to maintain the quality, longevity, and appearance of their hair.
- Confidently upselling salon services and aftercare products to enhance the client experience and support salon growth.
- Ensuring client records and consultation details are accurately maintained and kept up to date.
- Creating engaging social media content, including before-and-after transformations, styling content, and appointment availability posts.
- Keeping Fresha bookings accurate and up to date, ensuring appointment timings align correctly with services completed and till records.
- Maintaining a clean, organised, and luxury salon environment that reflects the Additional Lengths brand.
About You
We’re ideally looking for someone with:
- Experience working with professional hair extensions, including fitting, maintenance, and removal
- An NVQ Level 2 or 3 in Hairdressing (or equivalent qualification)
- Strong consultation skills with the ability to recommend suitable hair extension and hair replacement solutions
- A passion for creating beautiful hair transformations and educating clients on the benefits of extensions
- Confidence in recommending and upselling aftercare products and salon services to enhance client results
- Excellent customer service and communication skills
- A friendly, professional, and approachable manner
- Good knowledge of hair health, aftercare, and extension maintenance
- Strong organisational skills and attention to detail
- A genuine passion for the hair and beauty industry and staying up to date with current trends and techniques
