Job Overview
We are seeking a reliable and organised General Admin Assistant to support our administrative operations. The role we are recruiting will support the administrative function of our charity, through activities such as cash handling, record keeping, preparing newsletters, and correspondence with parent / carers and other stakeholders.
The ideal candidate will need to have extensive experience in admin and basic finance roles, excellent team working skills, a pro-active approach to completing work to a high standard and commitment to their personal development.

Duties
- Collection of hot meal monies from service users, ensuring high level of accuracy and preparing month end reconciliation.
- Maintain the petty cash records ensuring paper trail for all items of expenditure, the records balance and in time enter entries into the accounting software system.
- Process the sales from the café and shop and ensure that cash takings are paid in to the bank / post office.
- Undertake routine HR tasks such as maintain annual leave and health absence records and setting online training sessions for staff members.
- Liaise with the Horticultural Lead and Kitchen Cook to plan menus for service users.
- Ensure stationery and wider resource needs, including for the delivery of educational sessions, are maintained to satisfactory level and re-order supplies as required and approved by the Head of Business Services.
- Ensure that the office and other working environments are maintained in a tidy manner, including completion of filing, implementing steps to a paperless system and tidying of current records.
- Ensure Organisational Management files are kept up-to-date, for example those relating to Policy and Procedures and that we maintain accurate recording of Complaints and Compliments.
- Ensure that we maintain DBS records for all staff and volunteers and that we initiate updates at the appropriate time.
- Assist with routine building checks and ensuring annual premises maintenance checks are completed.
- Support the Head of Care Services and Centre Care Manager(s) to complete service user paperwork.
Working days are Monday to Thursday, 6 hours per day.
