The Role:
We have an exciting opportunity for a Composite Laminator to assist the team building a new mould-making and component manufacturing operation supplying Formula 1 and top-tier motorsport clients. We're looking for a Composite Laminators to join the team as we bring this facility online.
Key Responsibilities:
- Laminating pre-preg carbon fibre components and tooling to tight tolerances, using epoxy resin systems.
- Reading and interpreting engineering drawings, ply books, and laminate manuals.
- Preparing moulds and tools with precision ahead of layup.
- Vacuum bagging and debulking during layup.
- Loading/unloading autoclaves and carrying out breakout processes.
- De-moulding and preparing components for the next process stage.
- Performing quality checks and completing QA documentation, work orders, and sign-offs.
- Maintaining a clean, safe working environment.
- Collaborating with engineers and team leads to meet production targets.
Essential Requirements:
- Minimum two years' experience as a Composite Laminator in a disciplined manufacturing environment
- Background in F1, motorsport, aerospace, or high-end automotive
- Skilled in hand layup, vacuum bagging
- Confident reading technical drawings and laminate specifications
- Strong attention to detail and manual dexterity
- Right to work in the UK (visa sponsorship not available for this role)
- Able to work to tight deadlines with minimal supervision
- Proactive, flexible, and a good communicator under pressure
- Demonstrate excellent organisational and time management skills
- Good communication skills.
- Ability to work as part of a team or under own initiative.
