Job Overview
We are seeking a highly organised and efficient Legal Secretary to join our professional legal team. The successful candidate will provide comprehensive administrative support to lawyers and legal professionals, ensuring smooth daily operations within the firm. This role offers an excellent opportunity for individuals with strong organisational skills and experience in legal administration to contribute to a dynamic legal environment.

Duties

Prepare and type legal documents, correspondence, and reports using audio typing and Microsoft Office applications such as Word, PowerPoint, Excel, and Outlook.
Manage and maintain case files, ensuring all documentation is accurate and up-to-date.
Organise appointments, meetings, and court dates, demonstrating excellent time management skills.
Liaise effectively with clients, colleagues, and external agencies through professional communication channels.
Schedule and confirm appointments, ensuring deadlines are met with precision.
Assist with the organisation of legal research and data collection as required.
Handle incoming calls and correspondence promptly, maintaining a professional image at all times.
Support IT-related tasks to ensure smooth operation of office equipment and software systems.

Experience

Proven administrative experience within a legal environment is preferred.
Proficiency in audio typing with high accuracy rates is preferred.
Strong communication skills, both written and verbal, are required for effective liaison with clients and team members.
Excellent organisational skills with the ability to prioritise tasks efficiently.
Competence in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, PowerPoint, Excel, Outlook) is mandatory.
Familiarity with IT systems relevant to legal practice management is advantageous.
Demonstrated ability to manage time effectively under pressure while maintaining attention to detail. This role is ideal for a motivated individual seeking to develop their career within the legal sector by providing vital support in a fast-paced environment. Pay: £23,130.00-£28,000.00 per year
