Job Summary
We are seeking a versatile and motivated Cafe Cook / All-Rounder to join our dynamic team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for preparing and cooking a variety of dishes, ensuring high standards of food safety and quality. Previous experience in a fast-paced kitchen setting is preferred, but a keen attitude and willingness to learn are equally valued.
Duties
- Prepare, cook, and present a range of hot and cold dishes according to menu specifications.
- Cooking on shifts independently, opening and closing shifts
- Serving customers food and drinks. Taking orders and preparing hot drinks
- Maintain cleanliness and organisation of the kitchen area in compliance with food safety standards.
- Ensure all food is stored correctly and rotation procedures are followed to minimise waste.
- Serve customers efficiently at the counter or in the dining area, providing friendly and professional service.
- Restock supplies as needed and assist with general cleaning duties throughout the shift.
- Support other team members during busy periods to ensure smooth operation of the café.
Experience
- Previous experience in food preparation, cooking, or a similar role within a café, restaurant, or hospitality environment is desirable.
- Knowledge of food safety regulations and best practices in kitchen hygiene.
- Familiarity with meal preparation techniques and culinary processes.
- Experience serving customers directly in a fast-paced setting is advantageous.
- A proactive approach with good organisational skills and the ability to work efficiently under pressure.
Shifts will include every Friday and Saturday plus 1/2 days in the week
