Job Overview

Working Pattern: Monday to Friday, 9:00am – 3:00pm

We are seeking a highly organised and detail-oriented Business Support Administrator to join a well-established residential care home. This role is key to supporting the smooth day-to-day operation of the service, providing administrative and business support to management and staff while ensuring high standards of organisation, confidentiality, and professionalism.

This is a Monday to Friday, 9:00am – 3:00pm office-based role, offering regular daytime hours in a supportive and professional care environment.

The ideal candidate will have strong administrative skills, confidence using office systems, and the ability to work effectively in a care-focused environment.

Key Responsibilities

Managing correspondence including emails, telephone calls, and post in a professional and courteous manner.
Supporting management with scheduling, meetings, rotas, and general office administration.
Maintaining accurate records through data entry and organised filing systems.
Preparing documents and reports using Microsoft Office and Google Workspace.
Assisting with invoicing, billing, petty cash, and expense tracking.
Supporting payroll and timesheet administration where required.
Carrying out general office duties such as scanning, photocopying, and ordering supplies.
Assisting with HR administration, including onboarding, staff records, and training documentation.
Liaising with external professionals, suppliers, and service partners.
Ensuring administrative processes comply with internal policies, confidentiality, and regulatory standards relevant to a care setting.

Skills and Experience

Previous experience in an administrative or business support role.
Strong organisational and time-management skills.
Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint) and Google Workspace.
Experience with accounting, payroll, or care management systems is desirable.
High level of accuracy and attention to detail.
Excellent communication and telephone skills.
Ability to manage multiple tasks in a fast-paced environment.
Understanding of confidentiality and data protection, particularly within a care or health-related setting.
