Job Summary

This Job is over two sites at both Glen lodge, Bawburgh and Norwich family golf centre
We are seeking a talented and motivated Commis / CDP to join our culinary team. The ideal candidate will possess a strong foundation in food preparation and cooking, with a passion for delivering high-quality dishes in a fast-paced environment. This role offers an excellent opportunity to develop your culinary skills and gain valuable experience within a reputable establishment. The successful applicant will be responsible for assisting in the preparation of meals, maintaining food safety standards, and supporting the kitchen team to ensure smooth service. This position is paid and suitable for individuals eager to advance their culinary career.

Responsibilities

Assist in the preparation and cooking of dishes according to established recipes and standards
Ensure all food is prepared safely and in compliance with food safety regulations
Support the kitchen team with meal assembly, garnishing, and presentation
Maintain cleanliness and organisation of workstations and kitchen equipment
Follow health and safety procedures diligently to uphold hygiene standards
Contribute to inventory management by assisting with stock checks and storage organisation
Collaborate effectively with colleagues to ensure timely service during busy periods
Support the team during service, including serving dishes when required

Experience

Previous experience in a professional kitchen or restaurant environment is desirable but not essential; training will be provided for suitable candidates
Knowledge of food preparation techniques, cooking methods, and meal assembly
Familiarity with food safety standards and hygiene practices within a culinary setting
Experience in serving or front-of-house roles is advantageous but not mandatory
A genuine passion for culinary arts and eagerness to learn and develop skills within a dynamic team environment
