Unique part time opportunity growing to full time role to join our fast growing Air Conditioning and Refrigeration Company and help build us into one of the leading company`s in East Anglia.
We are seeking a skilled and dedicated Air Conditioning Engineer to join our fast growing team. The successful candidate will be responsible for installing, maintaining, and repairing air conditioning systems across various commercial and industrial sites. This role offers an excellent opportunity for professionals with a strong technical background in mechanical systems and a passion for ensuring optimal climate control solutions. The position requires a proactive approach to troubleshooting and system optimization, ensuring client satisfaction through high-quality service.
Duties
- Install, service, and repair a wide range of air conditioning units and systems in accordance with manufacturer specifications and safety standards.
- Conduct routine maintenance to ensure systems operate efficiently and reliably.
- Interpret technical schematics, blueprints, and wiring diagrams to facilitate accurate installation and repairs.
- Diagnose faults within complex mechanical and electrical components, performing equipment repairs as necessary.
- Lead maintenance projects, coordinating with other team members to ensure timely completion.
- Provide technical guidance and support to junior staff or apprentices when required.
- Ensure all work complies with health and safety regulations, maintaining a safe working environment at all times.
- Keep detailed records of work performed, parts used, and system conditions for future reference.
Skills
- Strong mechanical knowledge with experience in air conditioning systems.
- Ability to read and interpret schematics, blueprints, and technical manuals accurately.
- Demonstrated leadership skills with the capacity to supervise or mentor team members effectively.
- Proven experience in equipment repair, troubleshooting, and maintenance within HVAC environments.
- Construction experience is advantageous for understanding installation contexts and site safety protocols.
- Excellent organisational skills with the ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously.
- Good communication skills to liaise effectively with clients, suppliers, and team members.
- F-Gas Certificate required
- Minimum of 5 years experience
- City & Guilds is preffered but not essential
