We are looking to source a Maintenance Assistant on a full time, permanent basis. Based at our facility in Great Yarmouth, the Maintenance Assistant will have a dual role of assisting with facilities management and performing maintenance tasks. This will entail handling a diverse range of tasks with a requirement to adapt to changing needs as and when required.

Duties & Main Responsibilities

Commitment to health and safety first when performing tasks, ensuring safety is a top priority for all

Carry out statutory and regulatory compliance checks. For example, Water Temperatures, Emergency Lighting, assisting with weekly Fire Alarm testing and more

Respond to immediate site needs and urgent repair requirements

Undertake general maintenance and repairs across the site

Accurate record keeping of maintenance inspections

Regularly inspecting the facility to identify/address any maintenance needs

Carrying out gardening tasks and keeping the yard clear of debris

Ensuring that facilities stores are kept tidy and at an adequate stock level

Use of initiative to improve the efficiency and appearance of the facilities

Any other tasks requested by Facilities team

Required

Proven experience in maintenance roles (minimum 2 years).

Multi-trade experience would be beneficial for the role, alternatively good DIY experience.

Good communication, problem solving and time-management skills.

Self-motivated with ability to work independently with a can-do attitude, whilst paying attention to detail.

IT literate with ability to use multiple devices i.e. laptop, tablet, mobile phone

Ability to drive is essential as may be required to travel between sites using company vehicle
