Norwich & South Norfolk

2 x Full Time Fixed Term Contracts (37.5 hours) to 31 March 2027 1 x Part Time Maternity Cover (22.5 hours) for 9 months from October 2026

At NIHCSS, we're looking for compassionate, motivated people to join our Recovery Team supporting adults experiencing severe and enduring mental health challenges across Norwich and South Norfolk.

NIHCSS is a recovery-focused mental health service dedicated to helping people live independent, fulfilling lives.

Working across community outreach services and our supported living service at Vanguard Court (NR2), we support people to develop confidence, build resilience and achieve the goals that matter most to them.

What You'll Be Doing

As a Mental Health Recovery Worker, you will:

Build positive and trusting relationships with the people you support
Deliver one-to-one recovery-focused support
Help people identify and achieve personal goals
Develop recovery plans, risk assessments and wellbeing plans
Support individuals to increase independence and confidence
Work alongside health professionals, housing providers and community organisations
Encourage choice, empowerment and social inclusion

No two days are the same, making this an exciting and rewarding role for someone who enjoys working creatively and independently.

Essential Requirements

Full UK driving licence
Access to a vehicle for work purposes
Ability to work across our shift patterns

Experience in mental health, social care, housing support, community support, healthcare, counselling, psychology, substance misuse services or related fields is beneficial but not essential.
