Information Assistant x 4 positions

Salary- £25,470 - £26,583 per annum (pro rata)

This is an annualised hours role. The working pattern's are as follows

Option 1- City campus/permanent- Saturday 9am-5pm (36 weeks), Sunday 11pm-7pm (34 weeks), Monday - Wednesday 5pm-9pm (36 weeks)

Option 2- City campus/permanent- Tuesday & Wednesday 8.30am - 5pm, Saturday 12pm-5pm, Sunday 11am-7pm, 52 weeks for Tuesdays and Wednesdays. 36 weeks for Saturdays. 34 weeks for Sundays. You will likely be assigned 1-2 x bank holidays and 1-2 x Summer Saturdays shifts (10am-2pm) per year, according to your own availability.

Option 3- City campus/ Fixed Term for 7 months- September to March working 5pm-9pm Mon-Fri during term time

Option 4- Clifton campus/permanent- Thursday: 5:00pm 8:00pm (36 weeks per year), Friday: 4:00pm 7:00pm (36 weeks per year), Saturday: 9:00am 5:00pm (36 weeks per year), Additional Summer Hours: Saturdays, 10:00am 2:00pm (9 weeks)

About the Role

We're looking for four Information Assistant's to join our friendly and welcoming customer service team.

What you'll be doing

This role isn't just checking and sorting books. You'll be an essential support to customers of our libraries, providing practical help and guidance. You'll be the go to person for face-face, telephone and online enquiries and assistance.

Supporting customers to get online or how to use software one minute and then identifying and referring specialist enquiries the next. No two days will be the same as you'll work, on a rota basis, completing a variety of tasks.

What you'll bring

You'll bring your excellent customer service skills and ability to work effectively with a wide range of people. If you've got confidence in using IT systems and experience of supporting customers in a busy service environment, then we'd love to hear from you.
