We are seeking a proactive, Nottingham-based HR & Office Operations Manager to oversee human resources and daily office tasks for our growing team. You will be permanently based at our established Nottingham site, managing central office administration, communications, and HR compliance. You will also oversee the initial HR setup and ongoing operational support for our brand-new Manchester location, requiring occasional travel to Manchester as needed.
Key Responsibilities
- Centralised Management: Provide full-service HR and operational support from our Nottingham Office.
- New Site Support: Establish HR policies, employee onboarding, and structural workflows for the new Manchester site.
- Office Administration: Main point of contact for the central Coco Tang email inbox and all inbound office phone calls.
- Talent Acquisition: Manage end-to-end recruitment, interview scheduling, and contract drafting for both locations.
- Employee Relations: Resolve grievances, conduct disciplinary meetings, and manage staff absence tracking.
- Compliance & Safety: Maintain UK employment law standards and coordinate health, safety, and risk assessments.
- Occasional Mobility: Travel to the Manchester site when required to facilitate on-site training, launches, or reviews.
- Personal Assistant: working closely with the Director and assisting in any day to day tasks.
Requirements & Qualifications
- Location & Mobility: Must be living within commuting distance of Nottingham and willing to travel occasionally to Manchester.
- Experience: Proven background in Human Resources
- Communications: Excellent professional phone etiquette and concise, brand-aligned email communication skills.
- Legal Knowledge: Clear understanding of UK employment legislation and workplace health and safety rules.
- Execution: Highly organised self-starter capable of managing overlapping administrative and people-focused tasks.
