Job Overview:

As an Aluminium Window Installer at VA Architectural Systems Limited, you will play a crucial role in the efficient and accurate installation of high-quality aluminium windows, doors and curtain walling . This position requires a skilled professional with expertise in working with aluminium framing systems and the ability to ensure precise fittings according to project specifications. The successful candidate will contribute to the company's commitment to excellence in craftsmanship and customer satisfaction.

Responsibilities:

Site Assessment: Conduct on-site assessments to evaluate the installation requirements, including measurements and structural considerations.
Read and Interpret Blueprints: Review and interpret architectural drawings and project specifications to understand the scope of work and installation requirements.
Prepare Work Area: Ensure the work area is prepared, including the removal of old windows or structures, and make necessary adjustments to accommodate new installations.
Frame Fabrication: Assemble and install aluminum window frames and curtain wall systems according to design specifications and industry standards.
Glazing Installation: Install glass and other glazing materials into the aluminum frames, ensuring a secure and weather-tight fit.
Sealing and Insulation: Apply sealants and insulation materials to ensure the windows and curtain walls are airtight, watertight, and energy-efficient.
Quality Control: Conduct quality checks throughout the installation process to ensure that work meets company standards and client expectations.
Coordination with Team: Collaborate with project managers, designers, and other team members to ensure effective communication and coordination of installation activities.
Safety Compliance: Adhere to safety guidelines and protocols to maintain a secure and hazard-free work environment. Use personal protective equipment (PPE) as required.
Customer Interaction: Interact with clients during installations, addressing any concerns or questions they may have and ensuring customer satisfaction.
Documentation: Maintain accurate records of work completed, including time logs, materials used, and any issues encountered during installation.

Requirements:

Experience: Proven experience as an aluminum window and curtain wall installer or similar role within the construction industry.
Technical Skills: Proficient in reading and interpreting blueprints, knowledge of aluminum framing systems, and hands-on experience with installation tools and equipment.
Attention to Detail: Meticulous attention to detail to ensure precise and accurate installations.
Communication Skills: Effective communication skills to collaborate with team members and interact professionally with clients.
Problem-Solving: Strong problem-solving abilities to address unforeseen challenges during installations.
Physical Fitness: Ability to perform physical tasks, including lifting heavy materials and working at heights.
Safety Awareness: Knowledge of safety protocols and commitment to maintaining a safe work environment.
Flexibility: Ability to adapt to changing project requirements and schedules.

Education and Certification:

Full Uk driving licence required.

CSCS certification.
