Full job description

A leading drainage & civil engineering company based in the Midlands require experienced groundworkers

Location: Carlyon Industrial Estate, Atherstone, Warwickshire
Department: Civil department
Salary: £15 – £18 per hr depending on experience. To be negotiated.
Job Type: Full time, basic hours Monday – Friday 07.30 – 16.30
Start date: Immediate
Benefits: A full time position with overtime potential; full uniform and boots; regular training; competitive rates of pay.

We work predominately on foul and surface water drainage so experience and knowledge of repairing existing sewers, laying new sewers, installing sewage treatment works, septic tanks and pipe work is essential. Occasionally you may be required to enter confined spaces and work closely with sewage.

About you
The successful candidate must be presentable, polite, enthusiastic, use their own initiative and take pride in their work. High standards are expected as is a ‘can do’ attitude. Applicants must be willing to work some overtime, night shifts and weekends and be prepared to work away on occasion. Flexibility is also key as work will be throughout the Midlands as well as nationwide.

Qualifications

Drainage/groundwork experience preferred
Confined spaces or NRSWA qualification
Machine tickets would be beneficial, but not essential
Experience of running your own job/site is an advantage.
A full driving license is essential. Own transport is imperative.
Please note: full in-house training can be giving to the right candidate.
