Job Overview
We are seeking a skilled Mechanical Technician and Body Shop Technician to join our dynamic team. The successful candidate will be responsible for maintaining, repairing, and servicing a variety of vehicles and equipment within our workshop. This role offers an excellent opportunity to utilise your technical expertise in a professional environment, contributing to the efficient operation of our workshop facilities.

Duties

Conduct routine maintenance and repairs on vehicles and machinery, ensuring safety and compliance standards are met
Diagnose mechanical issues using specialised tools and equipment, then implement effective solutions
Perform bodywork repairs, including panel alignment, dent removal, and painting preparation
Use hand tools and power tools to dismantle, repair, or replace faulty components
Assist with heavy lifting tasks safely, adhering to health and safety regulations
Maintain detailed records of work carried out and parts utilised
Ensure work areas are kept clean, organised, and compliant with safety standards

Requirements

Proven mechanical knowledge with hands-on experience in vehicle repair or bodywork
Proficiency in using hand tools and power tools effectively and safely
Ability to perform heavy lifting safely as part of daily duties
Relevant qualifications or certifications in automotive technology or body repair are desirable but not essential
Strong attention to detail with a commitment to quality workmanship
Good organisational skills and the ability to work independently or as part of a team
Flexibility to adapt to changing priorities within a fast-paced environment
