Role Details

Role: Warehouse Team Leader (Nights)

Salary: £19.13 per hour

Hours: 40 hours per week

Shift Pattern: Sunday – Thursday, 10pm – 6am

Contract: Permanent

Inspired Global Cuisine is a frozen ready meal manufacturer based in Chadderton, Oldham, Manchester. We are an ambitious company that has grown significantly over the last two years, now producing over 1 million meals a week, with plans to continue growing - including a recent relocation to a brand new 369,000 sq ft site, where we're investing in new systems and expanding our operations this year.

About the role

To oversee the day-to-day efficient receipt, storage and despatch of raw materials and finished products across our on-site facility.

To organise and lead a team of warehouse operatives who are responsible for servicing all production lines. Responsible for the health and safety of anyone working or visiting the warehouse and able to demonstrate full traceability, control and accuracy of all stock whilst adhering to food safety policies.

Responsibilities include:

Organising and leading a team for the relevant shift pattern. Manage time, attendance and train/development of team members
Communicate with team on a regular basis to make them aware of priorities, targets and operational requirements
Ensure comprehensive handovers are given to the following shift
Ensure the delivery of materials to production lines in accordance with production schedules/WMS system signals
Manage the relationship with internal functions (Production/Technical/Supply Chain) as required to ensure a smooth operation across the business
Liaise with suppliers and transport companies as and when required in a timely way
Ensure inventories are accurate. Ensure stock movements are recorded accurately and stock managed correctly in rotation. Support organising and participate in stock takes at regular intervals
Identify any systems improvements and make recommendations for change
Where possible resolve any issues or problems which occur in the warehouse. Where appropriate elevate the issue to a more senior level

Skills & Experience

Essential:

H&S aware
People focused
Structured, logical and organised
Experience of WMS and best practice
FLT License

Desirable:

Food Manufacturing background
Reach and VNA License
