Job Summary
We are seeking a skilled Paint Sprayer to join our fast paced car body shop. The ideal candidate will be responsible for applying paint and coatings to various surfaces with precision and efficiency. This role requires attention to detail, safety awareness, and the ability to work with different tools and equipment. The successful applicant will contribute to delivering high-quality finishes on our products, ensuring customer satisfaction and adherence to project deadlines.

Responsibilities

Prepare surfaces for painting by cleaning, sanding, and masking as necessary.
Mix paints and coatings according to specifications to achieve the desired colour and consistency.
Operate spray guns and other painting equipment safely and effectively.
Apply paint or coatings evenly across surfaces, ensuring a smooth finish.
Perform touch-ups or corrections as required to meet quality standards.
Maintain cleanliness of work area and equipment after each shift.
Follow health and safety guidelines at all times, including the use of personal protective equipment (PPE).
Assist with surface preparation tasks such as sanding or masking when needed.

Skills

Mechanical knowledge is essential for understanding equipment operation and maintenance.
Proficiency with hand tools and power tools used in surface preparation and painting processes.
Experience with spray painting techniques, including airless or HVLP systems, is desirable.
Ability to perform heavy lifting safely when handling large or bulky items.
Strong attention to detail to ensure high-quality finishes.
Good organisational skills to manage multiple tasks efficiently.
Ability to work independently or as part of a team in a fast-paced environment.
