The Strategic Sourcing Specialist will negotiate with dedicated providers according to specific policies. Achieve the best contractual conditions while also ensuring internal customer satisfaction. Positions requiring thorough understanding, application and mastery of approaches, theories, methodologies and application in a concrete organizational context.
Defining supplier strategy including management and optimization of supplier panels.
Leading negotiations and allocate needs to specific suppliers. Negotiate terms and conditions and transmit information to Procurement.
Managing claims; including commercial sourcing management such as data analysis, negotiations support, etc. and may also include purchasing activities.
Advising Functional managers or other Functions regarding approaches, processes and procedures in the own field.
Handling communication with direct colleagues and the business about approach and methods for solving complex problems
Leading as a project leader of medium sized projects or is a major contributor to bigger projects; goals typically take 3-6 months to complete and the time horizon for results/impact is typically 2-12 months after the event
To be successful in this role you will:
Have a Bachelor's degree from an accredited university or college (or a high school diploma / GED with experience in Sourcing).
Strong work experience in Direct sourcing/ procurement
Possess experience in Commodity Management.
Experience in ERPs like SAP or Oracle
Haves Strong interpersonal and leadership skills with the ability to influence others and lead small teams.
Be able to coordinate several projects simultaneously.
