About Us

Lloyd & Jones Engineers Ltd is one of the UK's leading independent distributors of precision tooling, engineering consumables, industrial supplies and maintenance products. We are looking for a reliable and organised Storekeeper to join our busy Burscough depot.

This is a hands-on role within a small, office-based stores environment where you will play a key part in ensuring high-value, precision tools and specialist stock are received, stored and despatched accurately to meet customer requirements.

The Role

As Storekeeper, your responsibilities will include:

Receiving deliveries and checking goods against delivery documentation
Booking stock onto the company computer system accurately
Organising and maintaining stock within a small, office-based stores area
Carrying out stock control and regular stock checking activities, ensuring accuracy at all times
Picking customer orders accurately and efficiently, with careful attention to detail
Packing and despatching orders for delivery or collection
Maintaining a clean, safe and well-organised working environment
Ensuring high-value, precision tools and components are correctly stored and accounted for at all times
Assisting with general stores duties as required

About You

The ideal candidate will:

Have previous stores, stock control or similar experience
Be comfortable working in a busy environment where accuracy is critical
Possess strong organisational skills and excellent attention to detail
Understand the importance of careful stock handling, particularly with high-value and precision items
Be able to work effectively both independently and as part of a small team
Have basic computer skills and experience of stock control systems (preferred)
Experience within engineering, industrial or trade supplies would be advantageous but is not essential
