We’re here to create and harness knowledge, to deliver opportunity for everyone.
About the Role
This is an exciting opportunity for a Senior Data Officer to join the Digital Transformation Team at Edge Hill University. This role gives you the opportunity to work across data management, data quality, mapping, validation, documentation, integration and reporting.
Your main duties and responsibilities will include:
Developing and maintaining a clear understanding of student and application data across CRM Recruit, Banner, Banner Insights and related systems, including how data is held, transformed, moved and used
Creating and maintaining data dictionaries, catalogues, mapping documents, validation evidence and issue logs, making sure data is accurate, understood, and suitable for reporting, migration, integration, archiving, and operational use
Working with business teams, technical colleagues, Ellucian consultants and project teams to clarify requirements, resolve data issues, support testing and assurance, and help colleagues understand new data models, ownership and governance expectations
This role offers the chance to play a meaningful role in one of the University’s major change programmes, helping to shape how student and applicant data is understood, improved and used as part of the move to Banner and CRM Recruit. The role involves building strong working relationships with technical teams, business areas, suppliers and subject matter experts. This is a good opportunity for someone who enjoys practical data work and wants to develop their experience in system implementation, data governance and data improvement, with the chance to leave behind clearer, more trusted and more usable data foundations for the University.
As part of the University’s ongoing commitment to redeployment, please note that this vacancy may be withdrawn at any stage of the recruitment process if a suitable redeployee is identified.
