Full job description

We are seeking a committed Registered Manager to lead the daily operations of our brand-new solo home

Salary-£55,000 - £62,500

Future progression - manage another of our solo home's £75,000- £80,000

£2500 Welcome bonus.

Up to £5,000 bonus - Ofsted rating good/outstanding.

The Role

As Home Manager, you will be responsible for:

Establishing the home’s culture, values, and ethos
Creating a safe, structured, child focused and nurturing environment
Recruiting, developing, supervising, retaining, and managing the staff team
Line manage Deputy Manager and residential staff team
Ensuring quality standards of care, safeguarding, and compliance
Building strong relationships with external professionals and stakeholders
Operational & Financial Management
Ensure child-centred, trauma-informed care
Care Quality & Outcomes

Monitor and review:

Placement plans, care plans and risk assessments
Education, health, and wellbeing outcomes

Regulatory Compliance & Ofsted

Maintain full compliance with Children’s Homes Regulations & Quality Standards
Lead, drive the team, and prepare for Ofsted inspections, aiming for Outstanding outcomes

Ensure effective implementation of:

Statement of Purpose
Policies and procedures, quality assurance systems
Ofsted notifications of significant events
Regulation 44 & 45 reports

Safeguarding & Risk Management

Responsibility for safeguarding and child protection

Oversee vigorous:

Risk assessments
Behaviour management plans and strategies
Missing from care documents and procedures
Ensure all incidents are recorded effectively, reviewed, evaluated, and escalated
Quality Assurance & Continuous Improvement

· Pay: £55,000 - £62,500

What you’ll need:

At least 2 years recent experience, in the last 5 years, working either as a Children's Home Registered Manager or as a Children's Home Deputy Manager in a Children's Home.
Level 5 Diploma in leadership and Management for Residential Childcare (or equivalent qualification).
Full UK Driving Licence.
Enhanced DBS check on Update Service
Strong leadership, confidence, professionalism, and organisational skills
Good understanding of Ofsted regulations and standards

· Know how to help and protect children well

· Know how to effectively lead and manage

· Ensure effective overall experiences and progress of children are demonstrated

You will have a key part in building a safe, high-quality, therapeutic home that positively transforms a young person’s life.
