Role summary:
Responsible for coordinating and maintaining the fabric of the buildings, equipment, fixtures and fittings at Stallcombe.
Main Duties and Responsibilities
- To positively promote and follow the ethos and philosophy of Stallcombe House when carrying out all aspects of the role.
- To have satisfactorily passed probation period.
- Responsible for the coordinating and undertaking all maintenance work required to ensure the buildings, furniture, fixtures and fittings are in working order, safe and fit for purpose.
- Ensure that jobs are prioritised and planned appropriately, being both proactive and reactive.
- Responsible for identifying and ordering parts or equipment as required using our PO system. Liaising with suppliers as necessary.
- Undertake or delegate redecoration work as necessary.
- Responsible for ensuring that all vehicles at Stallcombe are roadworthy and MOT and servicing is undertaken as required.
- Induct new staff in relation to driving and use of vehicles at Stallcombe.
- Ensure the health, safety and wellbeing of residents, staff and visitors at all times.
- Ensure working practices are compliant with Health and Safety guidance at all times.
- Responsible for ensuring that the buildings and equipment used are properly maintained and fit for purpose.
- Proactively manage the identification of risk and ensure any risks are managed appropriately.

Skills, Qualifications, Knowledge and Experience
The post holder must have the following: -
· Practical knowledge of maintenance, repairs and redecoration.
· Ability to undertake PAT testing or be willing to be trained.
· Able to work on own initiative.
· Good organisational skills.
· Excellent interpersonal skills.
· Good literacy and numeracy skills.
It would be advantageous for the job holder to have the following: -
· IOSH qualification.
· Understanding and/or experience of working with adults with learning disabilities.
· Maintenance experience in a residential setting.
· A recognised qualification in plumbing, electrical or building maintenance.
Pay: Up to £14.83 per hour
