Job Overview

We are seeking a skilled and passionate Chef de Partie to join our team. The successful candidate will be responsible for preparing and cooking high-quality dishes, maintaining kitchen standards, and supporting the overall operation of the kitchen. This role offers an excellent opportunity for individuals with a strong background in food preparation and culinary arts to develop their skills within a professional environment. The Chef de Partie will play a vital part in delivering exceptional dining experiences to our guests, ensuring consistency, safety, and efficiency in all kitchen activities.

Responsibilities

Prepare and cook dishes according to specified recipes and standards, ensuring presentation and quality are maintained.
Oversee specific sections of the kitchen, such as grill, pastry, or sauces, ensuring smooth operation during service.
Maintain high standards of food safety and hygiene in line with regulatory requirements.
Assist in the training and supervision of junior kitchen staff, fostering a collaborative team environment.
Manage stock levels within your section, including ordering supplies and minimising waste.
Ensure cleanliness and organisation of your designated area before, during, and after service.
Collaborate with the head chef and other team members to plan menus and develop new dishes.
Support meal preparation for special events or banquets as required.
Adhere to health and safety regulations at all times to ensure a safe working environment.

Qualifications

Proven experience in a similar role within a busy restaurant or hotel environment.
Strong knowledge of food preparation techniques and culinary practices.
Experience with food safety standards and HACCP procedures.
Excellent organisational skills with the ability to work efficiently under pressure.
Good communication skills and the ability to work effectively as part of a team.
Formal culinary training or relevant qualifications are preferred but not essential for highly experienced candidates.
A passion for delivering exceptional food quality and customer satisfaction.
