Welcome to Cap Air! We're a busy electronics manufacturer in St Ives, building cable assemblies, wiring harnesses, box builds and PCB assemblies for medtech, defence, industrial and a whole range of brilliant customers. We're growing fast and we need another safe pair of hands on the bench.
The job
You'll build cable and wiring harness assemblies and/or PCB assemblies to drawing and specification, right first time. Crimping, soldering, cable prep, continuity and visual checks, tidy documented work. The real stuff, not the theory.
What you'll bring
● Solid hands-on experience in cable/harness assembly and/or PCB assembly (through-hole, surface mount, or both)
● IPC-A-620 and/or IPC-A-610 / J-STD-001 training or working knowledge, or a track record that shows it
● Comfortable reading drawings, BOMs and work instructions
● Precision and patience. This work rewards people who care about doing it properly
● A desire to train the next generation of our team
● A team player. We're a close-knit shop floor and everyone pitches in
