Full job description

Oundle School is seeking an experienced and organised Health Centre Administrator to provide high-quality administrative support to staff, boarding and day pupils.

The successful candidate will play a key role in the efficient day to day operation of the Health Centre, ensuring a professional, welcoming and supportive service for the wider school community.

The role

The role entails booking appointments, registering pupils on entry to the Centre, collating information regarding pupil medical details, following up enquiries from GP surgeries and providing general support to the Health Centre Lead, Lead Nurse, Doctors, Nurses and other sanatorium staff so that they can carry out their key medical tasks.

The administrator will also be required to carry out some basic care duties to support the Nurse on duty, for example ensuring all patients have appropriate refreshments, or changing beds.

The role holder will report to the Lead Nurse.

Hours: 21hrs per week, from 8:30am – 3:30pm ( The specific days can be discussed at the interview stage).

Weeks: 33 working weeks per annum, your holiday entitlement is added to your contractual working weeks, meaning you are paid for 37.63 weeks per year.

Salary £10,059 pro rata, FTE £26,481.

The School

Oundle and Laxton Junior Schools have long been associated with the very best of modern independent education, especially boarding. The town has a spirited cultural life, with an annual international festival, literature festival, and frequent performances of nationally touring shows at the School’s Stahl Theatre.
