Overview
We are seeking a dynamic and experienced Wedding and Events Supervisor to oversee the planning and execution of weddings and special events at our prestigious venue. The ideal candidate will possess excellent organisational and communication skills, with a passion for delivering exceptional guest experiences. This role offers the opportunity to lead a team, coordinate seamless events, and contribute to the success of memorable occasions. The position is paid and suitable for individuals with a background in hospitality, restaurant, or hotel management, as well as those with experience in fundraising or guest services.
Responsibilities
- Coordinate with the management team in all aspects of wedding and event planning, ensuring smooth execution from initial enquiry to post-event follow-up.
- Lead and supervise event staff, providing clear instructions and support to ensure high standards of service.
- Manage event timelines meticulously, ensuring all activities adhere to scheduled times.
- Liaise with clients to understand their needs, preferences, and special requirements.
- Oversee setup and breakdown processes, ensuring venue presentation meets brand standards.
- Maintain strong relationships with vendors, suppliers, and partners involved in event delivery.
- Handle guest services professionally, addressing any issues promptly to ensure guest satisfaction.
- Monitor health and safety regulations to ensure compliance throughout all stages of event management.
Requirements
- Proven experience in hospitality, restaurant operations or event coordination.
- Strong organisational skills.
- Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written.
- Exceptional time management skills to meet tight deadlines.
- Ability to work under pressure while maintaining attention to detail.
- A proactive approach with excellent problem-solving abilities.
- Flexibility to work evenings, weekends or holidays as required by event schedules.
- Previous supervisory experience is preferred but not essential as full training will be given.
You must be eligible to work in the UK and your own transport is essential due to the remote location.
