The Opportunity
We're looking for someone who takes pride in delivering projects properly.
Someone who understands that successful delivery isn't just about programme and budget, it's about technical excellence, communication, leadership and earning the confidence of every client.
You'll lead the delivery of multiple infrastructure projects from pre-construction through to handover, working alongside highly experienced engineers, designers and commercial teams. You'll be trusted to make decisions, build lasting client relationships and drive successful outcomes without unnecessary bureaucracy.
This is a role for an experienced project leader who enjoys taking ownership and wants to play an important part in the continued growth of a respected international business.
Key Responsibilities
· Lead the successful delivery of structured cabling and IT infrastructure projects within enterprise and mission-critical data centre environments.
· Take full ownership of project planning, delivery, commercial performance and client satisfaction.
· Manage project programmes, budgets, procurement and resource allocation.
· Lead internal delivery teams and specialist subcontractors.
· Build long-term relationships with clients, consultants and key stakeholders.
· Identify commercial opportunities and manage project risk effectively.
· Ensure compliance with all quality, health and safety and technical standards.
· Produce accurate financial reporting, forecasting and project documentation.
· Maintain the exceptionally high standards of delivery that Protek Systems is known for.
What We're Looking For
We're looking for professionals with substantial experience delivering complex technical infrastructure projects and looking to make a meaningful contribution within a technically focused business.
Essential
· Extensive experience managing structured cabling and network infrastructure projects.
· Proven delivery experience within both enterprise and mission-critical data centre environments.
· Technical qualifications equivalent to CNCI or higher.
· Strong commercial awareness and experience managing project financial performance.
· Excellent leadership, organisational and communication skills.
· The confidence to manage demanding projects and build trusted client relationships.
· Full UK driving licence and access to your own vehicle.
· Willingness to travel across the UK, including occasional travel to London and Oxford.
· Flexibility to travel internationally when required.
Desirable
· BICSI RTPM, RCDD or equivalent industry qualifications.
· SMSTS, IOSH or NEBOSH certification.
· Experience working within live environments where uptime and quality are critical.
· A reputation for delivering projects safely, professionally and without compromise.
