Full job description

Oxford Lifelong Learning in the Department for Continuing Education is seeking to appoint a Senior Course Administrator for Continuing Professional Development (CPD) Short Courses, which is housed in the Department’s Professional and Open Access Courses section.

The CPD Portfolio provides short open enrolment and bespoke courses that are designed to provide high-level training and professional upskilling for individuals across a range of companies, for professionals in organisations, for government departments, and for research and academic institutions.

About the role

You will work as part of a team of five administrators, responsible for administering a portfolio of open enrolment and bespoke CPD courses covering subjects including Business and Management, Technology and Al, and Vaccinology (and which may be subject to change from time-to-time).

You will provide support for the student lifecycle on these courses from end-to-end, but will have specific responsibility for the development and delivery of the portfolio’s bespoke courses. These courses are tailored to the needs of particular companies and large organisations, both national and international, throughout the year.

During the weeks in which the CPD courses run, you may need to adjust your working week and work outside of normal office hours, including evenings and occasional weekends, depending on the type of course. Such hours will be paid as time off in lieu or in line with the University’s policy on overtime.

This is a full-time position, available on a permanent contract.

About you

You will have significant experience of working in an office, have excellent administrative and event/course organisation, skills, accuracy, and attention to detail, and an ability to work collaboratively and flexibly within a team. You will have excellent time management skills and an ability to use your initiative, which will allow you to work with minimal supervision, while seeking guidance as required. Discretion and a professional and helpful manner in dealing with a wide range of people on video calls, via email or in person are essential. You must be competent in a range of Microsoft Office applications, and be willing to use technology to the full to reduce administrative processes. You should have a very good standard of numeracy and experience of working with data. A strong customer focus and excellent interpersonal skills are also essential.
