Active Learning Group is seeking a commercially minded and hands-on Finance Manager to support our SuperCamps brand. Reporting to the Group Finance Director, you will play a key role in delivering high-quality financial reporting, supporting commercial decision-making, and ensuring strong financial controls across the business.

Key Responsibilities
Financial Reporting & Planning
- Deliver accurate and timely monthly management accounts, including insightful variance analysis against budget and forecast
- Prepare weekly and monthly KPI reporting to support business performance
- Lead the preparation of detailed product and venue-level P&Ls to gross profit and contribution level
- Support annual budgeting and monthly forecasting processes in collaboration with budget holders and senior leadership
Business Partnering
- Work closely with sales and operational teams to provide meaningful financial insights
- Ensure consistency and reconciliation between finance and operational reporting systems (e.g. Salesforce)
- Provide financial analysis to support commercial decision-making and performance improvement
Financial Control & Compliance
- Maintain robust balance sheet reconciliations and ensure timely resolution of reconciling items
- Support VAT compliance and submissions to HMRC
- Ensure adherence to Group financial policies, including expenses and purchasing
- Assist with year-end audit, statutory accounts, and tax reporting
Cash & Treasury
- Support cash flow forecasting and monitoring, including variance analysis
- Assist with banking relationships, supplier payments, and cash management processes
Team Leadership
- Manage and support the Finance Assistant, overseeing AP processes, payment runs, and expenses
- Provide cover and support across the wider finance team when required
Person Specification
Qualifications
- Fully qualified (ACCA/CIMA) or qualified by experience
Experience:
Essential
- Experience in a similar Finance Manager or Senior Finance role
- Strong experience in management accounting, forecasting, and financial controls
Desirable
- Experience in a multi-entity or fast-paced commercial environment
- Experience managing or mentoring junior finance staff
Technical Skills
Essential
- Strong Excel skills (including PivotTables and lookups)
- Sound understanding of accounting principles and financial controls
- Experience with finance systems
Desirable
- Experience with Xero, NetSuite, Adaptive, or Salesforce

Pay: £48,000.00-£50,000.00 per year
