Development Scientist â€“ Regulated & Applied Development
Oxford Nanopore Technologies | Oxford Science Park - On site

Join Oxford Nanopore's Regulated & Applied Development team and play a key role in the development, verification and validation of next-generation sequencing platforms and end-to-end workflows.

As a Development Scientist, you will design and execute laboratory-based development and V&V studies, delivering high-quality experimental data to support new product development and lifecycle management. Working within a regulated environment, you'll contribute to technically challenging projects while ensuring data integrity, compliance and scientific excellence.

What you'll be doing:

Designing and executing development and V&V experiments.
Analysing and interpreting complex datasets to generate meaningful insights.
Troubleshooting technical challenges and contributing to root-cause investigations.
Producing clear experimental records, reports and technical documentation.
Supporting product development activities within ISO 9001 and ISO 13485 quality frameworks.

What we're looking for:

Degree in Biological, Chemical or Physical Sciences (or equivalent experience).
Laboratory experience working with DNA, RNA and/or protein samples.
Experience analysing and interpreting scientific data.
Strong understanding of molecular biology principles.
Excellent attention to detail, organisation and communication skills.

Desirable experience:

Experience in a regulated or quality-controlled laboratory environment.
Knowledge of Oxford Nanopore sequencing technologies.
Experience working within a Quality Management System (ISO 9001 and/or ISO 13485).
