What you’ll be doing…
Supervise the Warehouse Section in line with agreed priorities, to achieve targets, drive improved despatch quality and more accurate stock inventory, maintain safety standards, and drive continuous improvement.
A day in your life might include…
- Ensure compliance with health, safety, and environmental regulations.
- Supervise and coordinate all the activities of the Warehouse Operatives within the warehouse and external storage and receiving areas in the yard.
- Prioritise, schedule and assign workloads to the team on a daily basis.
- Train and mentor team members to develop skills and improve performance.
- Work with the Transport Manager and Logistics Manager to plan effectively and ensure labour is available for daily activities.
- Oversee the Goods In process to ensure accuracy and availability of products to both the factory floor and for despatch.
- Ensure all goods are booked into stock in a timely manner and identified for inspection or located safely and efficiently.
- Ensure the receiving area is always kept clear, redirecting labour during busy periods.
- Ensure parts are accurately picked and delivered in a timely manner to production areas.
- Optimise space utilisation within the warehouse and the external yard and introduce visual management solutions to maintain high standards of housekeeping.
- Maintain daily focus on continuous improvement activity in all areas of the warehouse.
- Improve picking/packing process accuracy to eliminate errors and minimise stock discrepancies.
- Support and plan labour for perpetual inventory counting to improve stock accuracy and identify and eliminate root cause issues which lead to stock discrepancies.
- Monitor KPI performance, address issues, and implement corrective actions when necessary.
- Support the Logistics Manager with projects as required.
Working Hours:
Monday to Friday: Rotating shifts of 6am-2pm/2pm-10pm

Experience:
- Management/Team Leader: 3 years (preferred)
Licence/Certification:
- Forklift Licence (Reach) (preferred)
