Experience
- Proven management experience within a restaurant or hospitality setting, preferably in a supervisory or leadership role.
- Background in food production, cooking, serving, and food preparation.
- Strong understanding of food safety regulations and best practices in kitchen hygiene.
- Experience in supervising teams within a busy culinary environment.
- Knowledge of restaurant operations combined with excellent organisational skills.
- Previous experience working in hospitality or culinary roles such as chef or barista is highly desirable.
- Demonstrated leadership abilities with excellent communication skills to motivate staff and enhance team performance. Duties
- Assist in the planning and preparing of menus that meet quality standards and customer expectations
- Ensure the highest standards of food quality is being delivered by our kitchen teams through consistency of preparation to agreed menus, specs and agreed presentation standards
- Maintain written recipes for all dishes along with costings.
- Coach all chefs as appropriate with regard to recipes and presentation
- Ensure all Kitchen colleagues have clear product knowledge for all food items including allergens.
- Manage stock levels, order supplies and monitor inventory to minimise waste and control costs
- Enforce strict adherence to food safety regulations and hygiene standards across the kitchen
- Train new staff members on food preparation techniques, safety procedures and service standards
- Collaborate with front-of-house teams to ensure seamless service delivery
- Maintain a clean and organised kitchen environment at all times
- Ensure all guest requests, concerns, and complaints are handled promptly and professionally
- Ensure adequate and appropriate levels of stock are in place for the planned trade levels and agreed with the General Manager
- Work closely with the General Manager and the Kitchen team to create a harmonious, seamless working environment between the kitchen and front of house colleagues including daily briefings, menu tastings and multi skilling where possible.
- Meet all expected business financial KRA’s especially Sales, Wages, Waste and GP as agreed with the General Manager.
- Actively seek out opportunities to grow and improve the business and the ways of working.
- Maintain relationships with suppliers that deliver best quality and for best value for our business.
- Ensure checks are made on deliveries from suppliers to ensure correct quality and pricing
- To be the accountable for your departments delivery of the company’s policy on health and safety and ensure that all colleagues carry out their duties in a safe manner having regard for the health, safety and welfare of themselves, other team members, customers and other persons on the premises
- To ensure all colleagues are trained in and comply with Fire Safety, HACCUP/Food Hygiene & COSHH regulations and guidelines including allergens
- Ensure all rotas are in place that provide sufficient cover for all our hospitality operations within agreed wage budget
- Ensure the security of stock, company property, work areas and company premises is strictly adhered to all company control procedures
- Report any thefts, suspicious incidents or behaviour, breakages or damage to property or equipment to your line manager, and take any appropriate action immediately

- Ensure communication processes are in place to engage your teams in key performance areas
- Mentor and Coach all colleagues to drive continuous performance through marginal gains and spot colleague development opportunities

- Own the recruitment process and with HR ensure the first 12 weeks of a new colleague are delivered well and on tim
- Work with the G3neral Manager and Marketing team to ensure there is an activity plan in place for all Food & Beverage events. Coordinate the guest experience and oversee Food & Beverage elements of events
Requirements
- Proven supervisory experience within a professional kitchen setting
- Extensive culinary experience with strong skills in food preparation, cooking and presentation
- Knowledge of food safety regulations and best practices in hygiene management
- Experience in food production within a hospitality or restaurant environment
- Demonstrated leadership skills with the ability to manage and motivate a team effectively
- Ability to work well under pressure in a fast-paced environment
- Excellent organisational skills with the ability to multitask under pressure
- Strong understanding of hospitality standards including serving procedures
- Previous restaurant experience is highly desirable
- Passion for culinary arts with a commitment to excellence in service delivery
- Strong communication skills to effectively interact with staff and management
- Supervise and motivate kitchen staff to ensure efficient workflow and high standards of food production
- Oversee food preparation, cooking and presentation to ensure consistency and excellence
