We’re looking for a Music and Performing Arts Technician to join our vibrant team and play a vital role in supporting the delivery of outstanding practical learning experiences.
About the Role
This is more than just a technical role; it’s your chance to be at the heart of creativity.
You’ll work closely with staff and students across a wide range of music and performing arts environments, from rock band rehearsals to specialist studio spaces, ensuring everything runs smoothly, safely, and professionally.
You’ll be the go-to person keeping equipment performance-ready, supporting live learning, and helping students bring their ideas to life.
What You’ll Be Doing
In this varied and hands-on role, you will:
- Maintain and manage a wide range of equipment, instruments, and materials
- Support practical sessions, from band setups to studio-based work
- Assist in preparing engaging teaching materials and technical setups
- Keep accurate inventories and ensure equipment is organised and accessible
- Carry out minor repairs and keep everything performance-ready
- Provide day-to-day technical support to students and staff
- Ensure all spaces are clean, safe, and ready for action
- Promote and maintain excellent health & safety practices
- Conduct risk assessments and ensure compliance across practical areas
- Monitor stock levels and help manage ordering and purchasing
- Work collaboratively across departments to support wider technician teams
- Maintain confidentiality around assessments and examinations
