Job Summary

The job role is part time during the holidays able to start straight away and be available throughout the holidays
We are seeking a friendly and organised Counter Assistant to join our team in the sandwich shop The successful candidate will be responsible for seerving customers baguettes and baps, cash handling, cooking on the griddle/ovens, making hot and cold drinks, stock filling, cleaning, relevant paperwork This role offers an engaging environment where communication skills and organisational abilities are essential to ensure smooth daily operations. The Counter Assistant will play a vital part in creating a welcoming atmosphere for customers and assisting with product presentation.

Responsibilities

Greet customers warmly and detve them there food and drink
Process transactions accurately using the till system, card machines
Support merchandising activities, including stock replenishment and product organisation
Maintain a clean and tidy counter area, ensuring products are well-presented
Handling deliverys
Cooking on the griddle /oven
Assist in organising promotional displays and seasonal decorations
Support team members during busy periods to ensure efficient service delivery

Skills

Strong communication skills, both verbal and written, with excellent phone etiquette
Basic maths skills for handling cash transactions and balancing tills accurately
Organisational skills to manage multiple tasks efficiently and prioritise effectively
Time management skills to ensure prompt service during busy periods
Knowledge of merchandising principles to enhance product presentation and sale
Friendly demeanour with a proactive approach to customer service
Organised with the ability to work independently or as part of a team in a fast-paced environment

Pay: £8.00-£12.82 per hour
