Part-Time Butcher / Butcher’s Assistant
Tywardreath Butchers is looking for a part-time team member to join our friendly team.
We’re looking for someone who is reliable, hardworking and willing to learn. Previous butchery experience is welcome, but it isn’t essential we’re happy to consider someone with the right attitude who is keen to learn and develop new skills.
This is a hands-on role in a busy traditional village butcher, so you’ll need to be comfortable working as part of a team, helping customers and getting stuck in wherever needed.
The Role
● Helping with the preparation and presentation of meat
● Serving customers and providing friendly customer service
● Keeping the shop and work areas clean and tidy
● Maintaining high standards of hygiene and food safety
● Working as part of a busy, friendly team
● Learning new skills and supporting the experienced members of our team
What We’re Looking For
● Previous butchery experience is an advantage, but not essential
● A willingness to learn and adapt
● Reliable and hardworking
● Friendly and approachable
● Able to work well as part of a team
● Comfortable working in a busy environment
● Good customer service skills
● Must be available to work during school holidays and busy periods
Hours & Pay
Hours and rate of pay will be discussed with the successful candidate, depending on experience and availability.
This is initially a temporary position to support with the potential to become a permanent position for the right person.
