The Role
Join our Quality team as a Quality Technician at our Newport facility, where you'll play a vital role in protecting our customers by ensuring products meet the highest quality standards. You'll conduct chemical and mechanical testing on raw materials, in-process samples, and finished products while maintaining meticulous documentation and data integrity. This position offers the opportunity to work cross-functionally with quality control, assurance, and production teams in a collaborative environment. You'll contribute to continuous improvement initiatives by analyzing data, identifying trends, and supporting problem-solving activities. Your work directly impacts our reputation for delivering precision and reliability to customers across aerospace, defense, energy, and transportation industries.
Key Responsibilities
Conduct chemical, mechanical, and visual inspections of materials and finished products according to established protocols
Maintain accurate sample traceability and documentation in laboratory systems to ensure regulatory compliance and data integrity
Calibrate, maintain, and troubleshoot laboratory equipment to ensure reliable and accurate results
Analyze quality data, identify trends, and propose process improvements while supporting cross-functional problem-solving activities
What We Need To See From You
You possess knowledge in science fields with quality control experience in industrial environments
You demonstrate proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, data analysis, and record-keeping with knowledge of ISO 9001 standards
You work effectively both as a collaborative team member and independently, with strong attention to detail and commitment to safety standards
