Join our dynamic security team as a Security Officer and become the frontline guardian of safety and security across our facilities. In this vital role, you will be responsible for maintaining a secure environment by monitoring premises, preventing loss, and responding swiftly to incidents. Your proactive approach will ensure the safety of staff, visitors, and assets while upholding our commitment to a safe and welcoming environment.
The role is nightshift only working Thursday, Friday and Saturday. Total hours per week is 39.5
Duties
- Patrol designated zones on foot or vehicle to deter theft, vandalism, and unauthorized access.
- Implement loss prevention strategies by observing suspicious behavior and intervening when necessary.
- Respond promptly to alarms, emergencies, or incidents, providing first aid when needed and coordinating with emergency services.
- Verify the identity of visitors, contractors, and staff before granting access to secure areas.
- Maintain detailed logs of daily activities, incidents, and security checks to ensure accurate record-keeping.
- Enforce security policies and procedures consistently while fostering a safe environment for everyone on site.
Qualifications
- Must hold a valid SIA licence.
- Must hold full drivers licence.
- Proven experience in security or surveillance roles is preferred but not required; training will be provided for motivated candidates.
- Ability to perform loss prevention duties effectively with keen observation skills.
- Good communication skills with the ability to remain calm under pressure.
- Physical fitness to stand, walk, and patrol for extended periods comfortably.
- A responsible attitude with high integrity and attention to detail.
