Full job description

An exciting opportunity for a capable, enthusiastic and highly organised individual who would like to be involved in a forward-thinking Dental Practice in the heart of Bridgend.

No previous dental practice experience is required as we will provide training to the successful candidate.

Term- permanent full time

Salary- £12.71 per hour

Start date- asap

Terms and conditions

- Holidays - 28 days p.a

- Hours – 37.5 hours per week

We are a mixed practice of NHS and Private providing a full range of dental care.

We hope to create a strong team and are highly patient focused. The practice is right in the heart of Bridgend town centre which has dozens of places to visit for lunch and shopping. The team you will be joining consists of 1 full time dentist, 3 part time dentists, a dental therapist and 3 nurses. We hope to create a great atmosphere in the practice and want somebody that will help add to the amazing team we currently have.

We will be looking for candidates of high integrity and commitment, who are conscientious, and have excellent communications skills. During COVID our industry has been shown to be secure and we welcome talented individuals from all different sectors.

Job Description

· Answer the telephone in the prescribed manner

· Welcome all patients arriving at the practice

· Ensure that the appointment system is efficient and accurate

· Collect and record patient payments

· Ensure that patient records are completed correctly before filing and store them in an efficient, tidy and secure manner

· Liaise with dental laboratories, supply companies and other organisations as required

· Other duties as necessary for the efficient operation of the practice

· Undergo training as may be required to develop your skills and abilities

Key skills required for the role:

· Highly developed interpersonal skills including empathy and relationship building skills

· Customer service skills

· Communication skills both written & verbal

· Competency in IT systems

· Good organisational skills and a comfort multi-tasking

· Motivation and drive to make your role a success

· Easily builds rapport with people and has a friendly and approachable disposition.

· Works well within a team

· Reliable

· Enthusiastic with a positive attitude

· Courteous, tactful and discreet.
