Job Overview
We are seeking a dedicated and skilled Roofer/Labourer to join our team. The ideal candidate will have a strong work ethic and a willingness to learn the intricacies of roofing and construction. This role involves working both independently and as part of a team to ensure high-quality workmanship on various roofing projects. The successful applicant will be comfortable with heavy lifting and using a variety of tools.

Responsibilities

Assist in the installation, repair, and maintenance of roofs on residential and commercial properties.
Use hand tools and power tools effectively to complete roofing tasks.
Interpret schematics and plans to ensure accurate execution of roofing projects.
Perform masonry work as required, including bricklaying and concrete repairs.
Engage in heavy lifting and manoeuvring of materials, ensuring safety protocols are followed at all times.
Collaborate with carpenters to plumb, build, and install structural components as needed.
Maintain a clean and organised work environment, ensuring all tools are stored properly after use.
Follow all safety guidelines and regulations while on-site.

Experience

Previous experience in roofing or construction is preferred but not essential; we welcome those eager to learn.
Familiarity with hand tools, power tools, and masonry techniques is advantageous.
Ability to read and understand schematics is beneficial for executing tasks accurately.
A strong physical fitness level is required for heavy lifting and prolonged periods of standing.
A proactive attitude towards learning new skills related to roofing, carpentry, and general construction practices is essential.
