Head Waiter– Haar, St Andrews

4AA rosettes | Michelin Guide

Haar is an award-winning restaurant in St Andrews, known for its commitment to seasonal Scottish produce, exceptional hospitality, and memorable guest experiences. We are looking for a passionate and personable chef de rang to join our team.

About the Role

As a head waoiter you will be the face of Haar, delivering warm, attentive, and knowledgeable service to every guest. You will play a key role in creating an outstanding dining experience while working closely with the kitchen and management teams.

Key Responsibilities

Welcome and seat guests in a friendly and professional manner.
Deliver exceptional food and beverage service throughout the guest journey.
Demonstrate detailed knowledge of menus, daily specials, and drinks offerings.
Take accurate orders and communicate effectively with the kitchen team.
Anticipate guest needs and resolve any issues promptly and professionally.
Maintain high standards of cleanliness and presentation throughout the restaurant.
Support colleagues to ensure smooth and efficient service.

What We're Looking For

A genuine passion for hospitality and guest service.
Previous restaurant or hospitality experience preferred, but full training can be provided for the right candidate.
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
A positive attitude and strong team ethic.
Ability to remain calm and professional in a busy service environment.
Flexibility to work evenings, weekends, and holidays as required.
