Job Summary
We are seeking a skilled and reliable Plumber to join our team. The successful candidate will be responsible for installing, repairing, and maintaining plumbing systems in a variety of settings, including commercial and residential properties. This role requires technical expertise, mechanical knowledge, and the ability to work safely and efficiently. The position offers an excellent opportunity for individuals with a passion for plumbing and related trades to develop their skills within a professional environment.

Responsibilities

Install, repair, and maintain plumbing systems, including pipes, fixtures, and appliances
Read and interpret blueprints, technical drawings, and specifications
Use hand tools, power tools, welding equipment, and carpentry skills to complete tasks
Conduct inspections to identify issues with plumbing systems and determine appropriate solutions
Perform heavy lifting of materials and equipment safely
Ensure all work complies with relevant safety standards and building codes
Assist in the assembly of plumbing components and related mechanical parts
Maintain accurate records of work performed and materials used
Collaborate with other tradespeople such as electricians or carpenters when necessary
Operate commercial vehicles for transportation of tools or materials as required

Skills

Proficiency in plumbing techniques and systems installation
Experience with welding, hand tools, power tools, and assembly processes
Strong mechanical knowledge related to plumbing components and systems
Basic mathematical skills for measurements and calculations
Ability to perform heavy lifting safely and efficiently
Knowledge of carpentry is advantageous for certain installation tasks
Valid driving licence suitable for commercial driving if required
Good organisational skills with attention to detail
Ability to work independently or as part of a team in various environments
